It is the mission of Emmanuel Christian School to partner with parents and guardians in preparing their children for life as Christian servant-leaders, who choose character before career, wisdom beyond scholarship, service above self, and a lifestyle of participation over apathy in order for them to impact the world for Christ for eternity.
The mission of Emmanuel Christian School is to provide a well-rounded educational program, through which a young person will come to know about Christ, develop a personal relationship with Him, and be encouraged to follow God's plan and perfect will for his/her life. Students need to know what they believe, why they believe it, be able to defend it, and be able to engage their culture.
This is accomplished by:
1. MODELING: Godly teachers living before their students a sterling example of the reality of Christ in their own lives
2. SPIRITUAL EMPHASIS: Chapel services where students are challenged to follow Christ and know Him more and be led to make practical decisions concerning their everyday lives.
3. EDUCATIONAL EMPHASIS: A curriculum where the Word of God is woven throughout.
4. PHYSICAL EMPHASIS: Activities that stretch a young person's limits and build character.
5. SOCIAL EMPHASIS: A safe, drug-free, disciplined, loving environment.
6. MOLDING: Consistent enforcement of godly principles and preferences of conduct, behavior, and appearance.
7. EVANGELISTIC EMPHASIS: Opportunities to get out of the classroom and into the marketplace in order to share Christ
8. MATURING: Exposing students to college and career opportunities and encouraging them to continue on a track of Christian education.
Through my Christian life, there have been several things that have greatly encouraged me, taught me, and pointed me in the right direction. One of the most influential of these has been my school, ECS. Throughout the years, ECS has strengthened and grown that love for my Lord in a variety of ways. Bible class has not been the only things to achieve this. Everything from sports to curriculum has a Biblical foundation. My coaches and teachers instilled Biblical training that will last a lifetime. Without this school, I would not be the person I am today.
